Suzanne Bobsien and Lisa McDonald  are the owners of Banksia Blue Studio, creators of botanical art, home decor and candles.

Suzanne is a fashion and textile designer with more than 25 years experience in the fashion industry. She is known for her fashion design expertise, design direction and management with a strong ability for interpreting trends, styling and colour forecasting. She has worked as head designer for several leading labels within the Australian fashion, resort and surf wear markets.

Lisa’s marketing and management skills were also finessed within the fashion industry where she took on the role of general manager for a leading Australian swimwear company, managing 30 staff and responsible for all turnover and company objectives. She further developed her skills towards the online and digital platforms, partnering with Suzanne in 2008 to create the first online swimwear store.

Forming an invaluable partnership of creative, marketing and like minds has been the foundation of several joint business successes for the duo. “Utilising our own skills and expertise whilst empowering others has always been our philosophy in business. We love building a team of like minded creatives and giving them a platform to shine,” Bobsien said. “Collaboration of our local community is rewarding.”
